Read the stage, not just the headline
Intent is not authorization. Authorization is not execution.
An application establishes a request. An agency decision establishes its actual authorization and conditions. Physical activity or a commercial milestone requires separate evidence. None automatically establishes an available contract.
Evidence
What a dated source establishes, including who issued it and the limits of its scope.
Interpretation
Our analysis of why the evidence may matter. It is labeled separately from the source’s statement.
Recommendation
A suggested next step for a defined decision. It does not establish procurement, permission or a guaranteed result.
Unknown
The missing fact, controlling condition or rival explanation that may change the view.
Dates and coverage matter.
Each issue identifies its reporting cutoff. Event dates, source publication dates and the date we checked a page can differ. An undated page remains undated; a fresh read is not a new event.
Coverage is selective. An absent finding is not proof that a development did not happen. Sponsor forecasts remain forecasts, and owner-reported technical conditions remain attributed unless independently established.
From a source to a useful watch.
- Review available sources and their authority, dates and scope.
- Identify what changed and what that change actually establishes.
- Write the commercial interpretation and its limitations.
- Check material statements against the retained evidence.
- Publish a dated revision and identify the next observable trigger.
We link public sources and cleared excerpts. We do not promise public redistribution of every document consulted.
Relationships and interests
Commercial relationships need context.
Laramie Basin Intelligence and Laramie Basin Marketing share a founder who also founded Laramie Basin Holdings, an investment and acquisition business. These relationships should be considered when reading our work.
Our editorial standard is to identify relevant commercial or investment interests alongside the affected work; distinguish commissioned research from public editorial coverage; and keep confidential engagement information out of public reporting unless its disclosure is authorized.
A marketing engagement is not a purchase of editorial coverage. A public source does not become an independent technical finding because we cite it. We do not claim separate independent ownership or a formal information barrier.
Corrections and source additions.
If you identify a material error or a missing primary source, email the article, the statement and supporting evidence. Material corrections should carry the correction date and explain what changed. Historical reporting dates remain visible.
